DataSource Technical Bulletin January 2022



The DataSource Technical Monthly Bulletin is updated monthly, conveying relevant technical information and announcements pertaining to the operations of DataSource.  


PDM Audit

PDM Audit is intended to improve the format of specifications and attribute structure. Most of the categories are being revisited starting with the most popular ones. There are potential issues with this project we need to be aware of:

  • The project entails massive redistributions of SKUs.
  • Some searchable attributes will be deactivated
  • Format of specifications will be changed significantly. The specifications will not just become better, but they will look different.

New Version of Alternative Categorization

New version of Alternative Categorization (AltCat 22.3) will be released in March 2022.

The current (AltCat 21.8) and the future (AltCat 22.3) category tree structures and migration map are available as a separate file, tabs " AltCat 21.8 ", " AltCat 22.3 ", "Migration Map" respectively.
 

Attribute Modifications

The list of performed modifications of attributes due to its length is separated into an Excel spreadsheet - Addendum.

 

Attribute Deactivation Feed

  The following links are feeds that include all searchable attributes, both active and deactivated.  This will enable DataSource customers to see what attributes have changed and to check if these changes have been properly reflected within their databases. The feed is available in two different file formats.
