New Version of ACC
New version of ACC (ACC 16.8) was released on August 17, 2016. The current (ACC 16.8) and the previous (ACC 16.2) category tree structures and migration map are available as a separate file, tabs "ACC 16.2", "ACC 16.8", "Migration map" respectively.
New Media Type ID
The new Media Type ID 18 “Product Documents” has been released.

This media type combines User Manuals, Quick Start Guides, Product Brochures/Datasheets, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as well as includes the new documents such as Warranty Cards and FTC Energy Guides.

The new media type 18 is using meta attributes to differentiate between various media types.

Legacy document types (User Manuals, Quick Start Guides, Product Brochures/Datasheets, Material Safety Data Sheets) will continue to be available through the separate media type IDs 11, 12, 13 and 16.
PDM Audit Project
Our PDM Audit is intended to improve the format of the specifications and attribute structure. Most of the categories are being revisited, starting with the most popular ones. There are potential concerns with this project we need to make our customers aware of:
  • The project entails massive redistributions of SKUs.
  • Some searchable attributes will be deactivated.
  • The format of specifications will be changed significantly. The specifications will not just be improved, but they will look different.

Categories finished in August:

  • Seating (4B)
  • Storage Furniture (4C)
  • Furniture Accessories (4K)
  • Hand Tools (5A)
  • Power Tools (5B)
  • Construction Equipment (5C)
  • Locking Systems (5D)
  • Integrated Systems & Automation (5E)
  • Outdoor Power Tools (5F)
  • Power Tool Accessories (5G)

Categories currently in progress or planned for September:

  • System Accessories (AJ)
  • Output Accessories (EJ)
  • Televisions & Flat Panels (JA)
  • Photo & Video Accessories (MK)
Attributes Modifications
List of performed modifications of all attributes due to its length is separated into an Excel spreadsheet - Addendum. The spreadsheet contains both performed and planned modifications on sheets "Performed modification" and "Planned modifications" correspondingly.

Attributes Deactivation Feed
The following links are feeds which include all searchable attributes, both active and deactivated. This will allow DataSource customers to see what attributes have changed, and to check if these changes have been properly reflected within their databases. This feed is available in two different file formats: Excel and tab-delimited text.

The feed can be downloaded using the following links:
A covering document is also available. It describes the feed purpose and usage guidelines: Attribute_Deactivation_Feed.pdf

NOTE: The feed does not include searchable attributes which were deactivated prior to January 1, 2010.
