DataSource 4.0
Rich Content Image Enhancements
Based on feedback from many of you, the following improvements have been made to the image service provided with DataSource:
- Multiple images per product
- Multiple image sizes: 75x75, 200x150, 400x300, 640x480
- Meta information for images: front, back, right, left, etc.
- Improved coverage in popular categories: Televisions, Monitors, Notebooks, Cameras, DVRs
Product Brochures / PDFs
Coverage improvement for Manufacturers' Product Datasheets, Product Brochures, User Manuals and Quick Start Guides in PDF format for top consumer categories.
Product Features / Key Selling Points
Coverage improvement for Key Selling Points and Product Features (a more detailed version of Key Selling Points) for a significant percentage of consumer products
Partial SKU Delivery Partial SKU Delivery
A new DataSource option allowing you to take advantage of product information in draft mode, but distributed to you with a fast turn-around-time. This allows you to reap the benefits of DataSource at the very beginning of a product's lifecycle, or when only incomplete data is available from the manufacturer, thus preventing your SKU requests from being on hold.

- Manufacturer & Manufacturer part number
- Class & Category
- Product Line & Model (if applicable)
Advanced Catalog Information
An optional table (Cds_Catalog_Info) with the following dates will be available to help you better manage your catalog:
- Partial SKU Delivery status - gives you information on what products exist in a partially completed state
- SKU Creation Date - enables you to filter out products based on life-cycle
- Last Request Date - enables you to filter out products based on life-cycle
Categorization Improvements
The following changes were made to the CNET category structure to support and stay current with the evolving market:
- Smartphones have been moved from Handhelds (AC) category to Mobile Phones (PB).
- DVD Players category (JC) was renamed into Blu-ray & DVD Players and enhanced with additional attributes.
- GBIC, SFP and XSP transceivers have been moved from Network Adapters (FH) to Repeaters & Transceivers (FD).
Customer Extranet Improvements
The following changes were made to support the features in this DataSource release, and to improve the overall experience of the DataSource Customer Extranet:

- Firefox Support
