Custom Categorization Support
The task of creating a complete categorization system and assigning the right categories to all the products in an ecommerce catalog is often a daunting endeavor. Doing it manually is usually prohibitively expensive. Creating automated classification rules based on CNET categories and attributes requires a lot of research, development and continuous maintenance.
Thanks to the recent development of the new Alternative Categorization platform, CNET is now able to take the burden of custom categorization off your shoulders. CNET customers can simply provide us with their categorization structure (category names and IDs), and we will take care of the rest.
YOU
- Provide us with your categorization structure (category names and IDs)
CNET
- Provides custom categorization rules creation and maintenance.
- Generates custom re-categorization of all SKUs in your catalog.
- Analyzes your categorization coverage and provides recommendations on custom categorization improvements
Customers receive their own custom category IDs in the same tables CNET uses to deliver CNET Alternative Categorization in download.zip
Custom Categorization is a service that is being made available to CNET DataSource customers at an additional subscription fee. Contact your account representative for more details.
Catalog Expansion
CNET has expanded its product catalog to include White Goods (Home Appliances) and Pro Photo category segments. Both segments are now available to all customers in all languages and markets.
The White Goods catalog includes:
Kitchen Appliances: Refrigerators, Dishwashers, Ranges, Microwave Ovens, etc.
Home Appliances: Washers, Dryers, Vacuum Cleaners, Irons, etc.
Personal Care Appliances: Hair Dryers, Electric Shavers, etc.
Professional Photo products include:
Studio Equipment: Photo Studio Lighting, Backgrounds, Filters, etc.
Photo Storage: Photo Frames, Photo Albums, etc.
Asia-Pacific Expansion
CNET has expanded the market coverage of the Asia-Pacific region into China, Japan and Korea. To support these markets, we have added the following four new languages to the list of languages we currently support:
Chinese Simplified
Chinese Traditional
Japanese
Korean
Spanish Language with Imperial Units
CNET supports two systems of measurement: Metric (cm, kg, liters) and Imperial (inches, lbs, oz). In the past, the Imperial system was supported only in English and French languages. As more and more of our U.S. customers plan to launch a Spanish version of their ecommerce platforms, we have added support of Imperial units for the Spanish language.
