    DataSource provides variety of product images that are available in multiple resolutions and at different angles. You may pick a primary image and display the rest of the images in the image gallery. You may also add brand logo image to your product page. And you will receive thumbnail images that could be used on search results page.

    Specifications provide technical product information. You will receive principal product characteristics and the comprehensive technical details.

    1. Product Title / Product Description - View Example
      Provides a short, high-level description of the product’s key attributes. The structure of the description enables users to browse search results and identify products they want.

    2. Main Specifications - View Example
      A clear description of the principal technical specifications is included for each product. For most end-users, these product specifications matter the most in helping them make buying decisions.

Product Listing (PLP)


  1. Categorization

    DataSource categorization provides a flexible, ecommerce-oriented hierarchy of classes and categories to enable intuitive catalog navigation. All products captured by DataSource are classified into categories that include information technology, consumer electronics, appliances, photo equipment, power tools, office products, toys, baby products, etc.

    DataSource provides basic 2-level basic categorization and advanced ecommerce-friendly 5-level alternative categorization. If you define your own category structure we can help you align our categorization with your unique taxonomy.


  2. Attributes

    DataSource provides a set of Searchable Attributes that enable faceted search functionality and custom sub-categorization of products for easy filtering. You will receive the recommended attributes for parametric search and comparison, the optimum display order and the value ranges for numeric attributes such as memory or diagonal size.


  3. 3rd Party Classification

    DataSource supports the following 3rd party classifications:

    1. UNSPSC
      UNSPSC is a single global classification system used by a variety of businesses for spend analysis, procurement optimization and ecommerce. DataSource supports the latest UNSPSC version as well as most of the previous versions.

    2. ECCN
      An Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) is a five-character alpha-numeric designation used on the Commerce Control List (CCL) to identify dual-use items for export control purposes.

    3. HTS
      The Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) is the primary resource for determining tariff classifications for goods imported into the United States.

    4. UK Trade Tariff
      UK Trade Tariff also known as UK Integrated Tariff is a ten-digit commodity classification code system based on the EU TARIC (TARiff Integre Communautaire). Codes are assigned to imported and exported goods to identify what duties and controls apply and ensure a correct customs declaration.
